In Response To: Dr.John Joseph's BLUNDER (Ashur Beth-Shlimon)

Aziza Ashur,

Besides all these blunders of Dr. Joseph, the biggest proof we have that Dr. Joseph's entire theory is inaccurate is in using PANCHO as an example.

..you have pointed out not a single blunder...while telling us that the Peloponesian War was fought in Persia.

Pancho keeps saying that we are not the descendants of the ancient Assyrians, because we don't act "Assyrian", but as "Christians."

...no, that's a different argument altogether...a more facetious one and well before I read Dr Joseph's book. I KNOW from your character that you have no connection to the best of Assyria...there were skunks like you in ancient Assyria too. But we've moved beyond tongue-in-cheek descriptions of character to verifiable history...and reasoned argument.

WHO but an Assyrian would be obsessed enough to continue making Assyrian sculpture year after year, and for most of his adult life?

...I said that there is a great FEELING for that time and region...but equally for the all the other people there...I've made more than just Assyrian sculpture....also, that was before I found some evidence for what I NEVER believed...I never bought the gentic explanation for being Assyrian..never. It's too ridiulous. But, I still have the same interest in the art and culture of a magnificent civilization that impresses me deeply...that's the only way in which I am "Assyrian".

He also states who but an Assyrian would study the history of modern Assyrians, but an Assyrian man like Dr. Joseph, and not another Historian of another nationality. That proves Dr. Joseph is an Assyrian, just like the rest of us!

...you're being very childish. Dr Joseph grew up on the same myths we all did...only he took it a step further and decided to study the myth...he has denigrated no one but rather says we have a proud history as what we are, Nestorians and that there was no need to take this monkey of "Assyrianism" on our backs....we make fools of ourselves constantly...ahem.

This statement of Pancho is proof that no other nationality but Assyrians would be obsessed with their own history, their own art and sculpture, their own traditions, land, and language and to be fighting for their historic lands for so many decades now, DESPITE massacres, genocides, and exile?

...no, not at all. You're reaching for straws out od desperation...a very Bush-like attempt to shift the foucs as a way of hiding the fact that you cannot produce one historian, one qualified historian, who is an expert in THIS field..which is not ancient Assyrians and whether they existed or not...but how it came to be that people who never used the term Chaldean or Assyrian to refer to themselves until after the Europeans came and CALLED them by those name. Find someone qualified and recognized in THIS field...and let's talk.

Dr. Joseph can distort our history

...he doesn't. You do that. He has documented evidence for what he syas...his book was njot a self-print book like Aprim and Rosie spit out...it was vetted and passed before editors and published by a serious and well respected publisher and has been available to the scholarly and academic community to comment upon and evaluate and argue with for decades.

, and try to completely eradicate it off the face of the earth,

..he hasn't done that all. He merely shows that you are mistaken in your claims to being direct descendants of ancient Assyrians and Chaldeans...if that wipes you out it's more a comment on your character than on Dr Joseph's book...sure hasn't erradicated me.

but you cannot take the Assyrian out of us

...you don't know what that terms means...

, because although we have been Christianized, we continue to act the in same way we did thousands of years ago. We are still divided ecclesiastically just the way we were. We are still politicaly divided just the way we were, we continue to plot against one another, just the way were, and we continue to be disloyal to one another just the way were,

...so do the Irish. Are they now Assyrians too?

so that even our own social characterstics have not changed, but continue to operate in the same tradition as before, especially Pancho, who deems himself a lion hunter, STILL.

...your one social characteristic is to throw bullshit around...which the ancients didn't base their entire identity on. Oh yes, also to hide yourelf behind walls and be "Assyrian"...also something they were not known for. I am not ethnically nor gentically Assyrian....and neither is the Christian culture I was born into Assyrian. I'm some who respects the ancients and would like to get some of the crap off of their heritage which you people, with your "manners" and "rules" and "moserators" have hepes on it. I will admit to being a fighter for the ancient Assyrians and as far as I'm concerned the only "enemies" they have are YOU modern Assyrians.

It was one of your crew who ruined the Shumirum for Chicago...no other "enemy".
