...I say pathetic because it fails horribly, and has since she launched it, to even dabble in what it claims its very reason for existence is....

Here's what the home page declares as her purpose in having this "message board" which, incidentally, is the one accurate thing she has on there because it is not a forum, not a place for the free exchange of ideas in the common marketplace but rather just a place where "approved" MESSAGES can be left....anyway....here's their mission-statement

"This forum is dedicated to all Assyrians who want to meet in a neutral and democratic space to exchange ideas, discuss issues, and generate a dialogue related to building a new Assyria, without the fear of being banned, deleted, edited, and branded for your opinions."

...we can skip over the obvious bullshit about not being deleted or banned and go right to the heart of the statement...

...what new ideas, or old ones for that matter, has anyone ever posted there, except reports about how some of them go begging the Euros and Americans, when anyone will give them the time of day? What practical plans have they ever espoused...besides a bundle of wishes and demands and expectations?

Is this how they think things get done? "I want"....."you have to give me"...."it wasn't my fault..." "I don't have to prove anything but YOU have to accept what I say..."..."if you can't prove I'm NOT an Assyrian, then I AM." And other such foolishness.

Just look at their "ideas....issues and "dialogue" for "building a new Assyria"...this is just one week's output of "ideas , issues and dialogue".

...that's three posts about a bible, even though Maggie strongly admonished anyone else from discussing anything to do with religion, with a total of 120 views....(and that's probably all she'll get)....in three days.

....four days worth of posts extolling Beth-Shlimon, the first by him, and the three others by people who barely make sense, except they LIKE what they read..and at that this post is based on lies, pure and simple...lies about how Islam forced Christianity and stole blah blah blah...does anyone think this thread contains any "ideas, issues or dialogue that will lead to a new Assyria"?

If, on the famous, other hand...we had a mission-statement, it would go something like this...

"This is a forum that won;t touch your posts, whatever they are, where you'll always be welcome and whose mission it is to restore sanity and historical truth in regards to the modern myth of the existence of assyrians descended from the ancient Assyrians, especially the claim that ONLY Christians can be assyrians...we welcome all dissent gladly."

...or something like it. The interesting thing is that while Maggie's forum, and all the others of a similar bent, not only have never managed to achieve a single step towards ideas, dialogue or issues that have brought any of them to constructing a new Assyria, but they all have failed at even being forums for any kind of real "exchange" over the above. They have all failed miserably and some have even given up and gone away....but this modern myth, this great Hoax, of modern descent by Christians alone from the ancients is still being peddled, and so our work isn't over yet...but who can deny that we haven't made progress?

That's because our goal, no matter how tedious and time-consuming and even in the teeth of "the assyrian nayshun" and its "warriors"...is more than POSSIBLE! Because we have real history and real historians on our side and are soon to be speaking to people who know how to value these things, rather than our assyrians who treat them like the plague...a "disease" of Truth which makes them sick to their stomachs.

The assyrians CAN'T win and not just because the only ones left who buy into this nonsense are among the silliest, most ignorant and most deluded of them all...but because no one OUT THERE is going to buy any of this and never has...neither educated Christian nor average Muslim.

It's an unwinable proposition...but I don;t think it matters much to them...because Truth doesn't matter to them...just as the evidence that Muslims never did what the assyrians claim they did makes no difference to their CLAIMS because empty claims and demands and accounts of "who we are" provide enough sustenance without the trouble of actually having to do anything about anything.

Being assyrians is a state of mind, not fact...it is a wish, not reality...just like going to live on a cloud, forever, someday....these are flighty and insubstantial things this "nayshun" has learned to be contended with...and that's why they will remain there...begging for pity, for "salvation", even on their knees, where I'm constantly asked to go.

We are the ones who mistakenly think Maggie means anything by what she writes and says, as per her homepage which bears no resemblance to what she actually has and does...but that's okay with her...it SOUNDS good, just like being "Assyrian"...and that's enough...it really truly is...enough.
