...the sheer idiocy of the claim that Muslims kill Christians just for their religion, or forcibly convert them can be seen in the example of what hapened when the Arabs conquered southern Spain...had they wanted or been compelled by Muhammad to kill every Christian there would have been none in a few short years..likewise had they forcibly converted them to Islam there would have been none left in another few years....but, there were Christians, and Jews, living side by side with the ruling Muslims for centuries, and very well too. It was because of Islam that Christians were able to remain Christians, because Islam forbade forcible conversions as well as wholesale murder, and not because of some virtue or dedication in the Christians....also Christians under Muslim rule no longer had to fear witch-hunts and heresy trials.... Contrast that to what Aztecs suffered under Christian domination....Aztecs were most definitely killed for refusing Jesus...and their subsequent orphans were then "raised" Christian....they were also forced to convert as well as having their religion outlawed and their temples destroyed...the proof lies in the fact that in a few years there were no more Aztec priests or temples or believers...they had either been murdered or forcibly converted...THAT is how Christianity "spread". And Christians did this to other Christians as well...and to Jews and Muslims. There was no tolerance at all in this religion of "peace"....but apparently, and by historical record, a great of tolerance in this other religion "of the sword". --------------------- |
