...in yet another debate Hitchens answers the charge that Nazis were atheists by asking why then the first chapter of Mein Kampf has Hitler decalring that he is doing Godīs work in wiping out the Jews....why each German soldier swears to do his duty "by God"...why they had belt buckles that said "God over us"...why the Catholic Church celebrated Hitlerīs birthday every year on that day until they lost the war and why Hitlerīs first treaty with anyone, the Concordat, was with the Catholic Church which agreed to support Hitler in return for a monoploy on religious education in Germany...and as if that wasnīt enough why only one Nazi official was ever excomunicated by the Church...and that would be Joesph Goebbels...but not for anything he did to help murder millions of inncoent people who happeend to be Jewish...but because he married a PROTESTANT.

Far from being atheist Hitler and his Nazis were devout, practising and believing Christians...and no one has any evidence to the contrary, they just wish Hitler hadnīt been so direct and open about it...at least not until he won the war.
