I had challenged this nationalist to a debate but he ignored me and instead only could say "you are fake and not assyrian". I challenged him to prove me fake while he is real but he wasn't having it. Here is what he has to say and I will quickly refute it:

"Assyrians are a people indigenous to Mesopotamia [Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Syria], are Middle Eastern, Mediterranean Caucasoids, ethnically different from Arabs & Jews."

You don't know what you are nor do you know what the ancients were.

"Assyrians are considered to be one of the 1st Christians. They speak Aramaic/Assyrian, the language Jesus Christ spoke."

As for first Christians, there is no support for that at all and you do not speak Assyrian but rather Aramaic. A newer form of Aramaic on top of that. It is not known what language Jesus(as) spoke. It is believed it was a dialect of ancient Aramaic, and other scholars are now believing that it was Hebrew instead. Either way, it really don't matter because you don't speak Assyrian and Jesus didn't speak Assyrian.

One of the greatest Assyrian achievements of the 4th century was the founding of the first university in the world, the School of Nisibis. It had 3 departments: theology, philosophy and medicine. It later became modeled by the first Italian university.

The Assyrian language had been the lingua franca of the Middle East until 900 A.D.

It was not assyrian but Aramaic and it was Aramaic language, culture and influence which was the key to the decline of Assyrian identity.

In 1300 A.D. the tax which the Muslim Arabs levied on Christians, simply for just being Christian, forced many Assyrians to convert to Islam to avoid the tax. This same tax was introduced in Iraq during the Iraq War, in the mostly Christian city of Dora.

Not true at all. The jizya was levied on all non-Muslims and it in return they are entitled to public services, which they never have received under others and it also exempted them from military service. The jizya was never enermous and only the men of military ages who could afford were required to pay the tax yearly. Elders, women, children, monks, ill, etc were all exempt. In America if we deon't pay our taxes, we go to jail, so what is the problem with charging a tax to non-Muslims which in return gives them rights? As for conversions, it was not to avoid taxes unless u are agreeing that your religion is cheap that for a some change their they were willing to sell their religion?

"Now, Assyrians have suffered massive genocide, have lost control of their ancestral lands, and are in a struggle for survival. One third of Assyrians are in a diaspora, while the remaining two-thirds lives perilously in its native lands."

No genocide was ever suffered by them and they have no diaspora.

"††† I accept the Assyrian~Armenian~Greek Pontic Genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire during 1914-1918. Close to 3 million Christians perished during this time. ACCEPT & RECOGNIZE IT. †††"

There is nothing to recxognize because there was no genocide. A war is not a genocide. Are the Turks not allowed to defend themselves in war? When America apologizes fr its crimes, then Turks can apologize for defending themselves. When the Russians apologize to the afghans, Chechens and others, then expect Turkey to apologize for defending itself. When the Chreistians apologize to the Blacks, Natives, Asians and others, then expect Turks to apologize to you. The 3 million number is never proven and people died on all sides mostly due to diseases, colds, starvation and other causes which affected all. However, Christians murdered 6 million Jews barely 60 years ago and this is proven and documented.

"The men of Nineveh {Assyrians} will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah and now one greater than Jonah is here" [Matthew 12-41]

What is this got to do with you? This is talking about the Assyrians whom Jonah was sent to and accoirdsing to xtians, this is a prophesy about the day of judgement when all are ressurected and the Ninevites will condemn the Jews. Not that I believe this but that is what xtians say. This has nothing to do with you because you are not "a man of Nineveh" nor did u live in the time of theirs.
