The Jews have their Professor Sand and we have our Doctor .

Both have pointed out that the wave of nationalism that swept over the Middle East during the 19th century was used by minorities such as the Jews of Europe and the Christians of the Middle East to claim direct lineage with the ancients and in effect fabricating their history.

This nonfactual history was also adopted by the West who deliberately chose to take 3,000 years of Mesopotamian achievement under the Sumerian, Babylonian and Assyrian empires and bestow it to the Greeks.

What is truly sad about all this though is that the original Jews who converted to Islam and today identify with their Palestinian identity have been persecuted and collectively punished by the descendants of East Europeans!

The same can be said about Iraq where the majority Sunni and Shite population are descendants of the ancient Assyrian and Babylonian people and continue to be persecuted by European West with the acquiesence of the Christian minority.

Anti-Semitism never stopped.....it just changed forms.
