Many members of the Iraqi communist party(ICP) were Assyrians or Nestorians I should say. I know my aunt was married to a communist and then I remember meeting a few Assyrians in Germany who were also communists. There was also one who was born in Russia(his parents were from Iran) and he was communist also. We called him Karl Marx because of the beard he had and that old fashioned look. The thing I have always wondered is if these kind of Assyrians are sincere or just looking for more opportunity. I mean do they still believe the crap from the bible or do they read better things. I also remember meeting an Iraqi Arab in Canada who is a communist. He doesn't believe in a god or any gods and all that garbage. --------------------- |
