By the way, if by not "buying" you're referring to not paritcipating in the consumerism which feeds the mighty monster, and all the bullshit that we're fed through the media - the mouthpeice of this modern Goliath - then I agree with you..

Also, I meant 'immortal' when I misspelled 'imortal'.

..and what I wrote about the power of the imagination, I truely stand behind, but like I said, I live in the safe and sheltered West, not in a place that's been and is in a constant state of war, occupation, violence, poverty, and survival. I can go to a musuem or a gallery and stand at a safe distance in contmplation of how people suffer in the way I may perceive suffering or hunger in a work of art, and then have the luxury to stuff my face in some restaurant open 24/7. This is what makes me feel uncomfortable and even phony: I am a recipient of a lifestyle that is maintained through the taking and expropriating of other people's lands and resources, in which the people of these lands are being killed -- and I'm not even rich comparaed to the wealthy who live minutes from me in Beverly Hills, but I am rich to those who live on less than a dollar a week... should I just shut the fuck up and be grateful?
