christianity's loophole is the whole confession/forgiveness factor that persuades mass murderers, rapists, genocidal architects and executioners to get off easy, since they believe and have faith that the devil mislead them and they have no responsibility in the matter; or that god was teaching them a lesson when they participated in gang raping a mother in front of her children and her children in front of her, and made the kids rape their mother.. "it wasn't me, I was just taking orders from the devil... but Jesus has forgiven me and I'm here to preach to you his gospel".

(By the way the three part documentary, The Power Principle, which I posted is excellent. But I just saw one the best narrative films I've seen in a while since all watch and read these days is non-fiction. The remake of the old 70s TV minie-series starring Sir Alec Guinness: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy based on the former M-I5/M-I6 officer who goes by the pen name, John Le Carre is incredible, especially the acting by Gary Oldman playing the part of George Smiley. I'm so fixated with Daniel Day Lewis' acting that I miss and underestimate the other great UK actors like Colin Firth, John Hurt, and of course, Gary Oldman. I love Cold War espionage stories, especially written by insiders like Le Carre. I highly recommend the film, it may still be playing in certain theatres.)
