Indeed. And the nestorians that became chaldeans never claimed to be assyrian either but Aprim makes that claim also. He then goes on to show prove but all he showed is they were formerly nestorian. Who the fuck said otherwise? I challenged many nationalists in the past to bring prove that assyrians became christian in 33 AD as they claim, and not one ever has, and that's because there is no such evidence. They are making their own history up. There weren't any assyrians left even a century after the fall of their empire. That doesn't mean there weren't any people with assyrian blood, but who cares? There are people with native american blood, too, and mongolian and everything else. They are christians from the middle east who adopted a name recently and want to fool the world. It's funny when a nationalists says "there is no such thing as a chaldean" and then ignores his own story. There is also no such thing as an assyrian other than a christian who is nestorian, and very recently a few other clowns have jumped along, but still all christians.

It's funny there are iraqi arabs from the southern part of the country who regard the babylonians and sumerians as their forefathers but aprim says they are arabs who came after muhammad. In that case, aprim and nestorians are former jews who moved from israel, and that could also explain why there were so many and even their patriarch claimed to be jewish. Speaking aramaic, living in iraq, and being christian does not make one related to the ancient assyrians. Oh, and using assyrian names, like they have been doing recently also doesn't prove anything. There were no assyrians for over 2500 years and there aren't any today other than these people who are fake and recently invented. Now you can claim to be whatever you want. You can draw pictures, get a tattoo of whatever, and call yourself whatever, but don't expect people to take you serious when you start making bizarre claims. There are white americans who claim to have indian blood and sometimes you'll find one who claims to be native american, and that's fine, but when it comes to taxes, checks, casinos, etc, he would have to prove it.

I saw another video on youtube this weekend about that stupid dna thing and the maker of the video was trying to prove today's assyrians are related to the ancients, but he forgot to mention that he took fred aprim and matched him up with ashur banipal or some other ancient. That's what you would have to do in that case. They are no different fron kurds and arabs they have lived with, and hell you can even see a difference between them from region to region. I've seen assyrians from basra and they resemble the arabs of that city, and those from mosul resemble the arabs from that city. I've seen arabs with red hair and white skin and green or blue eyes. Most of the assyrians that I have seen who were from iran resembled iranians to me. The point is there is nothing special or unique about the nestorians of iraq that makes them "similar" to the ancient assyrians.
