...sadly, I think people are using Iraq`s plight for their own agendas and aims...Bush used Iraq and so are a lot of corporations as well as aid organizations, religious or not....Anna Eshoo may be playing to the home crowd which has expected her to do all sorts of things for the Christians of Iraq and have been disgruntled at her lack of tangible results...there is really no political risk to her in advocating funds be sent to help Christians...it`s hardly controversial with the usual idiots...and if it makes things worse in the long run...they can always blame Muhammad.

To be fair to Anna she is a politician, not a magician...and she doesn`t represent assyrians...we`re thinking of the millet system again...Anna represents her constituents, as she`s obligated and sworn to do....but, she cares too, and if sending money to Christians in Iraq makes everyone feel good in the short term...you can hardly blame her....what is she supposed to do...advocate helping all Iraqis? Qurds too? No one needs that kind of grief.
