I admit, that last line didn't do the piece much good. I've noticed that there are a number of Black writers on the left who like the writer of this piece (Glen Ford) think this way, and not all of them are converts to the Nation of Islam nor are they followers of Farrakhan. I've read from various Black writers about Jewish "sleazy record producers", the "ratty managers" and the "Hymie club owners" who used and exploited Black artists and musicians, or they simply corrupted them with drugs, like Billie Holiday's heroin habit. Spike Lee plays on this theme in his films, especially the one he did a few years ago called "Bamboozled".

Then there are the convicts who while in prison convert to Nation of Islam, and almost each and every one of them reads and believes "The Protocols" as true, and when one points out the real deal behind the anti-Jewish propaganda, they'll admit that perhaps it wasn't true then, "but it sure the hell looks true now". This was actually the reply of one prisoner to a Jewish filmmaker and his father who were doing a film on anti-Semitism.

And then there are the Black radicals, young and old, who say that Jewish activists took credit for the entire Civil Rights struggle, when if fact Blacks have been fighting for their Civil Rights way before any white man or woman, Jewish, Christian or Muslim, stood shoulder to shoulder with them.

Arabs and Muslims don't do well either when it comes certain Black groups when they talk about the Slave Trade and the role Arabs played in it. Also, recently Black Muslim students have been vocal about discrimination from other Muslims, mainly Arabs, whom the black students claim are anti-Black.

On a number of Black or Afrocentric sites like The Real Afrikan on Facebook, I've read comments like "nobody cares about us"... or "we should. rely only on ourselves".... or "Black people, when we gonna wake up??"

I don't think that Jews are the only ones whom certain Blacks distrust, rightly or wrongly. During the 1990s when it came out that the CIA was involved in the crack epidemic that almost totally destroyed South Central L.A., an op-ed writer for the L.A. Times or another paper wrote that black people suffer from too much conspiratorial thinking. Maybe that's why Glen Ford couldn't help but put that last sentence in his article, which for the most part, was pretty much spot on, especially since the Israelis themselves had the young men on a TV show in Tel-Aviv talking about filming the burning Towers (but they played down the celebrating and the high fiving part.)
