I must agree with you Pancho. It's good to know that there are fair minded and honest people among us. But according to individuals like the "the lion of Assyria" Freddy Aprim, Assyrians been persecuted raped, massacred and everything else you name by so called Muslims. However, ask those Assyrians like Aprim to name an incident in which Muslims did such things, he'll bring u the "Young Turks" of 1918 lol. Anyone who has basic knowledge of Turkey will know that those Turks were not Islamic. There hasn't been a real Islamic state in over a 100 years. And before the genocide, the Muslim Turks had good relations with the religious minorities. Assyrians lived and prospered freely in their region. it wasn't until the foreign alliance that the Christian Assyrians were so supportive to which resulted in the incident. However, to this day, whether Fred Aprim, or any other prejudice individuals whom are good at twisting historical facts around, have never been able to provide actual evidence of Muslims persecuting Assyrians or anyone else for just simply not willing to convert to Islam. Either way they argue, the Turks of 1915 and after were secular Turks who loved Trkish nationalism. If they were so pro Islamic and so anti Christian Assyrian, why did the same Turkish government close down all Islamic schools, major mosques, and kill/persecute Muslims who were following their religion. These questions are always ignored by those Assyrians who wish to make a case. But to be fair, being an Assyrian and having seen the behavior of those Assyrians who are prejudice, I have to say with all due respect, but I don't think Assyrians faced real persecution or suffering, as the Blacks, Natives of Amnericas or many others. The few incidents like 1915 and others were all recent and they were results of Assyrians betraying the countries they lived in in order to desperetly support their Christian brethren (British, French, Russians, Armenians, etc). None of their brethren in faith care for them sadly but true.
