...the propaganda is always the same...we are being threatened...so we have to attack first.

It boggles the mind to recall what a deal of bother and panic this country went through in its fear of communism...we went nuts! And all the time it was merely fear of organized labor...of unions. And you can see just how deep that fear runs because they're still trying to cripple unions....for the same reason: the idea that workers have rights drives bosses crazy...the Cold War was a manifestation of that insanity...

I even think the Mafia was allowed to corrupt unions as a best way to turn workers off. Hoover and his FBI never moved against the Mafia until forced to...he kept denying they existed while he chased commies, who were never a threat to anybody...!

America has become a scared bully...and at heart a bully is really a frightened person lacking in confidence as well as courage.
