There is no honor killing in Islam and all murder is forbidden. The only time execution is called for is in case of rapist or murderer, although for the latter, the family of the murder victim make that decision and they can choose to forgive and accept blood money. "Honor" killing is not Islamic at all, it's tribal and cultural. Yezidis do it, Hindus do it, Assyrians, Armenians, etc all do it. There is nothing in the Quran about honor killing nor are there any hadiths about that. It is purely tribal just like female circumcision is tribal practice in east Africa and somehow Islam is blamed for it or the Pakistanis who don't believe in wearing deodorant and blame it on religion when Islam clearly states to be clean and Muhammad himself sold perfumes and used them a lot. There will always be stupid people no matter what. --------------------- |
