What I experienced with my black friends with whom I parted cause they "found god" is that with finding god they lost all sense of self, reality and reason. If you watch a minute of John Hagee, the Zionist Christian pastor who wants Iran bombed (how christian of him) because "there exists a new Hitler", you'll notice in his "flock" are many African-Americans gently nodding their heads in stiff, Anglo decorum, like their white brethren. I met a black christian in my neighborhood while I was hanging out at the library with two black Muslims talkin' 'bout the MAN', which made the christian brother angry. Later, when I saw him alone, he started telling me that "them Muslim fools" don't know a thing about god's plan for the black man. When I asked him what the plan was he said that as children of Ham they were PREDESTINED by god had to be slaves and it's foolish, according to him, to "go against the lord's will". The key word is PREDESTINED, no free will, no accountability for what you do, or what's done to you. --------------------- |
