Furthermore, I don't take the US as my role model for any country. A country which educates its population, offers human rights is far better even if it has a dictator than what the US has. Cuba is a great example of this. Castro came to power and has always been labeled a dictator and this title gives a bad impression automatically, yet it is a fact that Cuba has the highest literacy rate in the world. It has most doctors, professors and teachers by percentage than any other nation. A friend of mine been there several times and said it was hard to find a person who couldn't speak English even in the rural areas. He said don't even try to fin a person who is illiterate because you will be looking forever. Now Cuba is suppose to be a dictatorship yet Castro educates his people and all people are trained to use a firearm. A government which educates its people and arms it to defend itself is not a bad one even if it is called "dictatorship". Libya was also a good example of this where people were entitled to health care, education, etc. Gaddafi was called "brutal dictator" by the west yet he had the approval of all Libyans when he took office in 1969 and nobody was killed when he took over after king Idris was removed. --------------------- |
