....this is something these people MUST believe, even on no evidence, because there is simply no basis for them to get their Christian enclave if it isn't true...if all they are is Iraqi Christians, on what basis do they demand THEIR part of the country? Why because the country is mostly Muslim so they feel they need their OWN part of it, for Christians? Well...yes, that's exactly right. This is the reason they get so angry when they are called Christian Iraqis, or Christian Syrians, or Christian Iranians...because there is no room for getting their own country if they are already PART of the country...that's why this "we are assyrians" business is so important...and why they can't even afford to discuss it...because that could cause doubt, and with doubt goes their chance at their own "nation".....though they would have the same problem Israel has: which is what to do with non-assyrians in the new country of theirs...and what if the non-assyrians one day outnumber them....and supposing it's a democracy (though that seems unlikely given assyrian behavior IN democracies), what will they do when their Christian notions are voted down by the non-assyrian majority? They will have to be their own brand of Fascistic Zionists and clear their country of all non-assyrians...as they clear their forums now.

>2. Muslims have historically persecuted Christian/Assyrians just for BEING Christian and assyrian therefore they really do need a homeland of their own AND this will protect them.

...this lie is most important to keep alive because it too provides the underpinning for their own country where they will be "safe"...and is the reason they try to make out like they have suffered all that Jews have...you know, persecution, gas ovens, concentration camps...all of it because their condition in the Muslim world today must be seen as DIRE...as an emergency...as something someone MUST do something about or else more and more of them will be killed by Islam!

...this is also the foundation of their love of martyrs and, even more pernicious, their conscious efforts to get MORE of their own people killed, because it heightens the supposed danger they all live under (and why being killed by Christians is no good, for the "cause")...we are to believe that there is a Muslim "Sword of Damocles" suspended over their assyrian heads which could crash down at any moment...this is the reason the boys over here demand that the ones over there "STAND UP"...and "DEMAND OUR RIGHTS"....not that they'll GET any rights, but because they'll get their heads cracked open, which can only be good for point number 2. It's also the reason they castigate any Iraqi assyrian who takes a dime from the government of Kurdistan...THEIR government...because that might mean they'll get a house and a job and money to feed their assyrian children...and how will THAT look if they actually begin to feel secure and even prosper? How will you convince the world that they are in great DANGER and need their own COUNTRY if they're seen to be getting along just fine where they are...and how they are?

And so part of "national work" is making sure the assyrians left in Iraq REMAIN in danger, which is what Nenus's new solution petition will get them....because the government back there will not appreciate the connection....will not like the idea of a potential fifth column within their borders, which is JUST what these boys over here want...they want the assyrians back there kept poor and in danger, they want them humiliated and killed off here and there...all of this will only help them get to their goal, they think, which will come ONLY if assyrians remain in misery and danger, with enough of them getting killed in order to appeal to the West (remember, they already believe, as Christians, that great goodies come from suffering and murder...of Jesus, for instance)....but no amount of pity for the conditions they live in will help at all unless the world believes they really are the indigenous people of Iraq...that MIGHT provide the "political" hook to hang their new country on.

None of this is going to happen of course, because no one is going to back this silly idea...what is despicable is that these people WANT it to happen as their "best" and ONLY chance at an assyria.
