This is what is so fascinating about how language has been perverted...just as Orwell warned it would. The word "hero" has not only lost it's proper meaning but it's come to mean the exact opposite of what it was for at least 3000 years.

A hero now is someone who has all the latest and most expensive armaments and goes to kill fathers and mothers and their children. Everyone who unthinkingly does the government's bidding is now a HERO..and those who resist, against great odds, is a "terrorist"....scaring the shit out of a "hero".

Like this "brave warrior".
