Website title:

I remember arguing with a Christian jerk about Khalid and all he could say is that he couldn't have been a nice guy because he was feared by his enemies and said well yeah what else should you do? Kiss your enemies? He was feared by his opponents which were armed men and not children and helpless civilians. There was also a caliph who did the same thing by returning the tax because he was afraid of not being able to protect them but the Jews and local Christians wanted to pay it anyway and said "we are with you all the way". There were even instances were individuals refused to pay the tax because they wanted to fight since they didn't think it was fair to sit at home while Muslims fought and defended them. There were Jews and Christians who fought in Muslim armies in those days and had no problems.
