we still think of the Levies as heroes....to whom? Iraq took the Assyrians in when they were chased out of Turkey for their treachery...and then the British came back in the 20s and like you said didn't want to do the dirty work of occupying the country so they recruited our desperate fools, gave them uniforms and guns and paid them to police a hostile Iraqi population which didn't appreciate being occupied...and they appreciated even less being policed by refugees they took in when they didn't have to...Christians at that who'd already played the part of traitors in Turkey.

The Assyrian levies were desperate refugees easily fooled and enticed by the British into believing they would be "cared for" by their employers...and we are STILL chasing that phantom...all the way to Belgium.

Where they were responsible for themselves they acted the fools and then wanted someone else to save them from their stupidity. The Assyrian Levies were traitors, yet again...pure and simple and it is they and other similar actions which brought on the reprisal of Semele....we did it to ourselves as we always have.

We will take responsibility for nothing in our lives except to dance around a Jew carpenter and suffer the consequences....then go looking for bigger and better Christians to save us, when it is Christianity which ruined us.
