"..imagine telling a kid you know did something wrong that youīre going to punish another kid, totally innocent of any crime. ...what kind of a kid accepts such a deal? I mean a kid might be tempted just because he avoids punishment...but shouldnīt the adult be the one teaching and leading and explaining that one must take personal responsibility, not to mention all about justice...right and wrong etc. Instead we have centuries of adults telling kids that they donīt have to pay for their crimes or mistakes..that itīs perfectly "right" AND a "religion", no less, if we grab some totally innocent kid and execute HIM! Do that to children for 1000 years and see what kind of morality you get." -- Even some of the Nazis who claimed to be atheists or Nietzchean-Existentialists were Catholics and Lutherans at heart. Since at their trials they mostly all evaded responsibility by claiming to have been taking orders. I'd even say that Hitler and Goebbels took the easy way out through suicide, too. If death was their way out, they should have remained true to the philosophy they preached and had been accountable for their actions, walking to the scaffold like the ubermen they had wished to be. --------------------- |
