If you look at countries were the majority identify as having no religion, those are the most tolerant and peaceful. Sweden, Norway, etc. In countries where the majority are Christian, such as Croatia, etc, they are not tolerant. Gays aren't even tolerated in the US even though Obama approves of it. None of the folks I work with are tolerant of the couple gays we have. We had this conversation a few nights ago and a younger person, who I thought was a little open-minded, said he just doesn't think it's "right" for that to be accepted. I asked him how it has anything to do with or are gays asking him to pick a male over female. He didn't know what to say then. Most of the things that Christians are opposed to are things they themselves are guilty of. Abortion is so common among Christian women, and they do it more than others. Same with everything else such as porn industry, alcohol, etc. --------------------- |
