and with all due respect, the numbers claimed by seyfo, are not reliable or trustworthy because it has been proven before by historians that Christian priest were giving lists of victims which exceeded the total populations of the town. This means the priest, who are so "holy" had no problem with lying when it comes against Muslims just as they do today. Another thing thiat needs to be mentioned here is that the Turks in the past were not oppressive toward their citizens. There are plenty of writers, professionals, free of prejudice and well respected who wrote about the tolerance in the Ottoman empire. While A catholic could not reside with a Protestant elsewhere, Christians were not oppressed in the Ottoman lands.

@@@ Well I claim it was genocide and I back it up with reasoned arguement and UN definitions. Religion and hunches don't color my opinion.

But I also state that the Turks are in fine company with the likes of Australian and the US.
