...there is no Assyria...not on any map in use in the last 200 years...but there IS a Kurdistan on those maps...as well as on older ones. You can be "Assyrian" while a citizen of France, the United States and Russia, to name a few countries...similarly you can be an Assyrian citizen of Kurdistan. let's keep our feet on the ground...you'd feel pretty silly asking a travel agent to book you a flight to Gaul.
