I always felt that the fact that the Romans "adopted" Christianity was a sure sign that there was something terribly wrong in it...or "right". It would be like the Nazis all of a sudden becomming Christian...you'd have to ask yourself "why"? What did they see in it that "inspired" them? Except, of course, the Nazis were already Christians...and very good ones because only good Christians learned what they were taught and never said something like..."why eat flesh and drink blood...even if it IS a "symbol"?...neither would any GOOD Christian have said.."but pope, the Jews also LOVED Jesus...is it fair to hate ALL of them, forever, for what a few did?" To be that fair and humane would have meant you were a BAD Christian; to oppose Church teachings is a good definition of BAD Chriatian...so the Nazis were GOOD and OBEDIENT Christians.
