This can be directly blamed on the bible because Jesus said it himself. He said his followers can touch snakes, drink poison and no harm will befall them. This is where they get this idea from and many have been killed because of this. Arrow would tell that has nothing to do with christianity or he'll say Muslims blow themselves up because of their religion and then he'll try to explain that he isn't a Christian.
