I am wondering the same thing. Children can't defend themselves and it's the same thing America does when it targets counries which are not capable of defending themselves. If Americans should learn anything from these cases, it's the need for mental health services in this country. When you take these things lightly and spent tax payer money elsewhere(weapons and defense), this will happen. It shouldn't be a surprise that countries which lack social programs and are not educated well have a higher crime rate. Toronto is a major city and the largest in Canada, yet it has a less murders than Salt Lake City and any major city in the US. What have other countries done differently from America? When Americans decide to stop being selfish, they will be able to put their children to sleep without needing a bunch of guns in their houses. In the last five years, crime has gone up in many cities. In Atlanta, crime was going down every year since the 80s and it picked up some in the last few years during the recession. FOX news don't like to hear this and will say "oh you're saying because someone is poor, he should be a criminal?" No, he shouldn't but that's what happens but republicans will always play dumb.
