That is a great point you raised. The people claiming to have been victims of a genocide in 1915 are the Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians. All three of them are Christians and this makes one wonder about them. As you stated, why not the Jews? In fact, there were Jews killed during this time but not by Turks or Muslims. It was Christian militias that murdered the old Jewish community that had lived in Gawar(hakarri). They were about 300 families in all and it was the Armenian/Assyrian/Russian alliance that killed them. Ones again, if the Turks were trying to purify their empire and get rid of all others, Jews would have been killed too and Christians elsewhere in Turkey would have been hunted down, but there is no such evidence anywhere. --------------------- |
