I'm actually a proud atheist.

And my opinion is that neither side was pure in this debacle. The Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks and Turks all committed atrocites, rapes etc BUT it was the young Turks - unlke the rebels - who controlled the machinery of state and hence ultimately comes closest to the UN definition of genocide.
