All of their answers are the same and it goes as follows: A, "we speak Assyrian". B, "we are from Assyria". It's always of such nature or they'll mention a certain someone referring to the area as "Assyria" but such things are not proof.

When Wilson asked what type of evidnece he presented in the book that linked us to our ancestors the author (and this is no joke) actually said "We have names like Ashur, Ninos and Sargon.....they had names like Ashur, Ninos and Sargon!" It was at that point live on radio that Wilson birst into a fit of laughter along with me at home.

Oh I believe that most certainly. I had a "big time" nationalist, who lives on the different forums, and I told him how our nationalism was invented by the Brits. You should have seen how angry he became and he responded with: "did the British also teach us our language and give us our Assyrian names?" I thought that was so silly and weak for someone that's supposed to know his stuff. These names are all recent and don't prove anything. When I inquire about my grand parents, I hear names like "Hezekia" "Zaradoush" "Youkhana" "Rachel" and other names. John Joseph mentions a document with over 50 pages of names and not one of them had an Assyrian name. It is unbelievable what kind of weak arguments they use and think they have proven their case. There is no doubt the middle east was and is a melting pot. People come and go, move, migrate, mix, marry, etc, and that makes it almost impossible for anyone to be pure anything.
