...Christianity comes to mind first of all...how often was the Bible quoted to justify the murder of completely innocent women who were either mentally weak or well versed in the science of folkloric medicines and herbs and who threatened the monopoly of the male medical profession? "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live"...I believe the bloody passage goes. And these were not infidel women but Christians themselves..and yet they were tortured and burned alive...for what?

For what if not a bloody Bible which demanded murder....
