...most easily defined as "The Brethren"....a group of Muslim philosophers and scientists who used to meet regularly in Basra in the 10th century.

The following quote is taken from "Islamic Philosophy" by Professor M. Saeed Sheikh.

"The Brethren had their own idea of Insan-i-Kamil, i.e., the ideal or perfect man. The specific requirements for the ideal man of the Brethren are interesting to note, for they evidence their eclecticism at its best. 'The ideal man should be of East Persian origin, Arabian in faith, Babylonian (damn! STILL no mention of assyrians)in education, Hebrew in astuteness, a disciple of Christ in conduct, as pious as a Syrian (STILL no mention of assyrians!!!)monk, a Greek in natural sciences, an Indian in the interpretation of mysteries, but above all a Sufi or a mystic in his whole spiritual outlook.'"

Pretty damn inclusive. They just left out assyrian...but then they´re only mentioning positive atributes....

name one.
