Assyrian Christians 'Most Vulnerable Population' in Iraq *LINK* *PIC*

WASHINGTON – Assyrians were joined by faith-based leaders and religious freedom activists on Monday in a White House rally to call U.S. political leaders to “save” Iraq’s “most vulnerable population.”

...Iraqis are Iraq's most vulnerable population...Christians, as a separate entity, are a minor issue.

Christians for Assyrians of Iraq (CAI) organized a rally to raise awareness of the plight of Iraq’s Assyrian (also known as Chaldeans and Syriacs) Christian population which has been called a humanitarian crisis.

...it's called that by YOU...the rest of the world could care less. The rest of the world is far more concerned that Christians could do these sorts of things to ANYONE!

“This should be a priority because Assyrian Christians are the indigenous people of Iraq and many people don’t know that,” explained Paul Isaac, one of the rally’s organizers.

...they are no more indigenous than the Muslims...these are RELGIONS...not nationalities..the only indigenous PEOPLE of Iraq are those who follow the indigenous RELIGION of Iraq...which is Ashurism...the rest of you, Muslims and Christians are welcome...but not if you plead with those attacking Iraq and ask them for favors...that makes you traitors to the country of ALL Assyrians.

“Because of their small population, weak status, and lack of regional support they have no one to protect them from all the violence.”

...yes they do...BUSH. Remember? he was coming to SAVE your sorry asses...like the Brits before him...remember?

Isaac pointed to the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) report statistic that although Assyrians comprise only five percent of Iraq’s population, they make up nearly 40 percent of the refugees fleeing Iraq.

...that' s because ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (almost) of those ATTACKING Iraq are CHRISTIANS! Why would Iraqis get pissed at FIJIANS???

He said that although all the ethnic and religious groups are suffering in Iraq, “it is clear that the Assyrian Christians are suffering by far the most…and they really have no one to protect them…”

...they are NOT suffering the most...whatever they are suffering was brought on their own people by those Christians outside Iraq PLEADING with Christian nations to ATTACK Iraq!!! Had Muslims in America PLEADED with Muslim nations to ATTACK on 9/11...what do you think would have been their fate in America the NEXT DAY?

In addition to the troubling Assyrian refugee statistic, there has been a rise in reports of persecution of Assyrian Christians in Iraq. Recently, in October, a 14-year-old boy near Mosul died by a crucifixion-murder. In the same month, Father Paulis Iskander was beheaded in Mosul.

...that isn't persecution..it is PAY BACK for collaborating with and BEGGING the United States to attack Iraq...when you do such a thing you will be punished for it...far more Muslims have been killed for collaborating than Christians have...their children have been targeted as well...

“Christians in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East are an inconvenient minority,” said the Rev. Keith Roderick, Christian Solidarity International’s Washington representative. “Even though they are indigenous they are made to feel as they are interlopers.”

...Christians are NOT indigenous to Iraq...they are indigenous to Israel! They have been welcome among Muslims for centuries..the times they have suffered was whenever they sided with outside Christians attacking their homelands...and they have ASKED for it...not the ones still trying to live there but all you who RAN and are now in Washington begging for salvation from the SAME PEOPLE responsible for murdering Iraqis...ALL IRAQIS...and you think this WON'T make things worse for the very people you are weeping over?

Roderick added that 27 churches in Iraq have been attacked or bombed in the past two years and 13 Christian Assyrian women were kidnapped and murdered in August.

...that is nothing compared to the losses suffered by ALL Iraqis...so long as you continue to see yourselves as a race apart..or a group that always suffers MORE than anyone else..or whose suffering the world MUST take note of while ignoring others..you will make yourselves outsiders...you encouraged a most illegal and murderous war on Iraq...a war which we alll now know was uncalled for..a war that has killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people...people the world cared NOTHING about killing...and you expect that a world, a Christian world, THAT cruel and bloodthirsty will "care" about a few Christians being killed BECAUSE they are Christians and therefore somehow MORE valuable than all the OTHERS who've been killed??? This will only get you more of the same...YOU encouraged brutality in Iraq and you have the gall to complain when it spills over onto YOU?

CAI’s solution is the formation of an autonomous zone in Iraq for Assyrians and other Christians. The zone, called the Nineveh Plains Administrative Unit, is likened to a state where Assyrians and Christians can practice their faith, speak and teach their language, and work without fear of persecution.

...sure...put them all in ONE locked room and have them TEACH CHRISTIANITY and we'll see how long they'll survive. Why do you hate your own people so? You say you loved Jesus but there isn't a ONE of you who wouldn't have nailed his ass to that cross to get YOU into heaven...you destroy everything you "love"...you have love and murder confused.

Correction: Tuesday, December 5, 2006:

An article on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, about the Christians for Assyrians of Iraq incorrectly reported the month in which 13 Assyrian Christian women were kidnapped and murdered in Baghdad. The Christian Post confirmed with the Rev. Keith Roderick on Tuesday that he had misstated that the Assyrian Christian women were kidnapped and murdered in October when the women were actually kidnapped and murdered in August.

...did that disappoint you somehow?
