Our nationalists feel weak and helpless...small, impotent, unnecessary, neglected, overlooked, put-upon, picked on, threatened, wronged etc. They try to compensate by shouting and strutting and bellowing their demands and complaints to the world like any spoilt child who finds himself frustrated and stymied by his own tantrums rather than tackling the work at hand...almost preferring to complain while throwing hissy-fits rather than do the actual job.

But it is their own hatred and bigotry which afflicts them so. Hating people makes you small, weak and ineffective. You may be feared and terribly cruel....but these are hardly positive attributes and they do nothing to improve the self-loathing at the core of such a being.

Hitler, that greatest of haters, who also happened to be Christian, who murdered millions of people and gave visions of “power” to equally stunted Christians, was really weak and ineffectual. In a one on one confrontation a 12 year-old could have bested him. You see a hurt child when he rants and raves, foaming at the mouth like any three-year-old deprived of his toy or bottle, needing a good nap if not a spanking. Mussolini, in himself, was nothing to be feared but a comical little fat boy who sat at a desk several feet off the ground to give himself the illusion of great stature...when all he looked like was a kid sitting in an adult’s chair, his little toes dangling off the ground, his oversized chrome helmet rammed like a bowl over his thick neck. What is Bush but an adolescent...what is Limbaugh, O’Reiley and these other evangelists who shout and scream but great haters and loathers, behaving like spoilt children.

Hating people diminishes your human stature....look at Aprim, Jassim and the rest. These people MAKE themselves weak and impotent and then, like true children, blame others for their sorry state. Chaldeans don’t hate Muslims...or Arabs. They don’t hate Iraqis...they see themselves as Iraqi Christians...and the rest as Iraqi Muslims. Where is there a Chaldean demanding this and that and wailing to the world? No wonder Chaldeans quickly pulled away from any so-called political association with Assyrians. What our nationalists call the great betrayal was to the Chaldeans a rude awakening....when they realized they’d aligned themselves with braying donkeys more concerned with making a noise than actually doing anything constructive.

It’s hatred that makes “Assyrians” weak.
