I see that to these chapmions of Assyria Fred Aprim is considered a historian, author and activist of the "Assyrian nation". While he may be an activist, though not a good one, and even an author, a historian he is certainly not. At least not a real one nor is he even qualified in that field. Let us see the defintion and qualifications of a historian first and then continue with these jokers according to dictionaries.

an expert in history; authority on history.

Noun: historian hi'storeeun

A person who is an authority on history and who studies it and writes about it.

and according to wiki

A historian is an individual who studies and writes about history, and is regarded as an authority on it.[1] Historians are concerned with the continuous, systematic narrative and research of past events as relating to the human race; as well as the study of all events in time. If the individual is concerned with events preceding written history, the individual is a historian of prehistory.

So now let us see what Fred Aprim is in reality. This is from his own web site.

Fred Aprim was born in the city of Kirkuk (the ancient Assyrian city of Arrapha), northern Iraq (Assyria). He is a graduate of Mosul University with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. Fred's family, like many Assyrian families, experienced its own share of oppression and persecution. While in Iraq, both his father and teenage brother were imprisoned unfairly and tortured. In 2003, he published a booklet titled "Indigenous People in Distress." In December 2004, he published his second book "Assyrians: The Continuous Saga". His third book on Assyrian genocide and the Assyrian national question "Assyrians: From Bedr Khan to Saddam Hussein" (First Edition) was published in July 2006.

As we see above he has a 4 year degree in mechanical engineering from Mosul University.

Let's see what one Assyrian website has to say about him.

Indigenous People in Distress

Fred Aprim a historian? Where does this come from? From his own mouth he admits that he is an engineer yet on this website and to his fans in general he is considered a historian. If he loved history so much, why didn't major in history and become a historian rather than an engineer? What held him back from doing so? Was is Muslims or should I say "Moslems" that prevented him from becoming a historian? What about in sunny California where there are no "Moslem regimes" holding him back, why hasn't he become a historian after all these years?

The answer is very simple. These people do not care for history nor do they even like it and they wouldn't be able to sit in class rooms and listen to things which do not support their prejudices. His books are not historical facts or based on reality but they are his own opinions and the works of others just like him. He made sure to avoid real historians in his books and even in articles. As for his book, it is printed by a company which will print anyone's book for money. I can even get them to print a book for me without anyone examining it. After all, historians wouldn't go to printing companies and their books are checked before they are published.

Nevertheless, one has to wonder why they haven't produced a single historian after all these years in the west or even in the Middle Eeast. They have one and they call him all kinds of names while not being able to handle or prove him wrong. The things in Fred Aprim books are not historical facts nor reality. They were never killed for their religion nor were they persecuted by Moslems as he likes to claim. If he is, however, so confident that they did, I am not a historian but I will challemge him or any of his friends anyday and anytime to debate over this issue of where and when they were killed for being Assyrian and Christian. This forum has been open and they avoid it and there are other ways of debating besides the internet. He can debate me in public anywhere he wants and he can bring all his stories he gathered from aunty maggy and whoever else and we can debate.

I am not a historian but I am a Muslim and I know Fred Aprim claims that members of my religion persecuted his people and I would like to debate him and refute him face to face. But I know these people are cowards and not real in anything. They don't even like history, or books. They are so ignorant that they think that the ancient Assyrians were the original people of Bet Nahrain and only they have rights to it. It would be a mere waste of time to even educate these jokers because they don't care. They'll take the words and myths of their prists and parents over historical truth and facts. We bring them facts and they say that's our opinion and they have theirs. There are opinions and there are facts. For example, I think Fred Aprim and the rest of these people are worthless. This may be my opinion and the way I feel about them. But when I say he is not a historian, I am not stating my opinion but that is a fact.
