How come the Jews, who lived at the same time as the Assyrians...whose Moses lived at the same time as Assyrian kings...whose David lived at the same time as all out kings, whose stories are no older than Gilgamesh...how come the Jews remembered their ancient history AND their modern history...how come THEY didn't need anybody telling them about Solomon but we need the Euros to tell us about Tukulti-Ninurta?

The ancient people of the Middle East and among them the Assyrians , the religion played a very important role in their lives, but after the fall of Nineveh and our people loosing political power to others . When Christianity swept the Middle East and our people converted to be Christians who were true believers that sent missionaries all over the world up to China in order to spread the MESSAGE and that of our lord JESUS only.

That is the reason the Assyrian people lost interest in NATIONAL things , but were dedicated Christians, a religion that DOESN'T BELIEVE in NATIONALISM , but believe in the brotherhood of humanity as a whole all these things made them not pay a full attention to the EARTHLY MATTERS as Assyrian nationalism EXCEPT as I always said that even the notion of Christianity was not to revive any nation including their own, some ASSYRIANS in their writings mentioned their ASSYRIANISM with pride.

The case of the JEWS was a different one, these people never changed their religion in the past 2600 years, and their religion is strongly connected in their tribes who constituted their JEWISH nationalism which is " The Israelites felt a national consciousness based on the concept of common descent from ONE MAN ( 1).

So, the Jews kept their TORAH from one generation to another , and if you read it , it is in some how history of their tribes.

Our people, didn't have a common book since they became Christians, their book was the BIBLE the Old Testament and the NEW one , which is basically about the Jews mostly. And also, not that we didn't have a book, but we changed our writing system that is completely different than the old complicated one with over 600 signs to use the Canaanite script, in that case our people because of lack of reading the cuneiform it was impossible to them to understand what they kept in the Ashur Banipal Library in one hand and on the other it was a period that as Christians considered to be not to their interest period.

PANCHO WROTE AGAIN :

How come even we remember and recite and respect THEIR ancient history AND their New Testament but FORGOT our own ancient history? How come?

The answer is easy, to some extend I already mentioned above, and could summed up to the following:

- Adopting a new writing system which CUT our relation with the past for not knowing or able to read our old ( cuneiform )writings, and

- The Christianity which is a religion that UNITE all the people of universe on the Christian beliefs UNLIKE Jewish religion or the Islam , who have their RELIGION and NATIONALISM go hand in hand together.
