...this last example shown to us by Taco is so typical of all that ails these people. In the first place is their need for ignorance...which carries with it an abhorrence of real knowledge. For them to maintain the fiction that they are descendants of Ashurbanipal requires that they NOT read actual history books or documents or sources...it almost forces them to rely on amateurs and relatives and bogus "journals"...what option is left to them?

By the same token they force themselves to spout nonsense, because nothing of sense supports their position. Imagine a Greek today saying he is a direct descendant of the people who owned the land the Parthenon is built on and that the land was stolen from his ancestors, his DIRECT ancestors and that the land really belongs to him and would the Greek government please get that building OFF of his property...or, give it to him as well.

Now, just think of the quality and authority of whatever "books" this Greek could bring forward that would, as he says it, PROVE his claim. What do you think...would the Encyclopedia Britannica devote a chapter to this "Son of Hercules"? Or would people laugh, behind his back of course because it's not polite to make fun of the severely handicapped.

Take this recent example of taco trying to get people worked up over the "persecution" of the monks in a monastery that the government took over...even if it's true. Clearly Taco is outraged by such an unprecedented example of persecution and cruelty and injustice and the rest of it...and just as plainly, he expects US to feel the same. What the little fellow doesn't know is that this is common practice among all nations and governments and in fact is codified, in English, as the State's right to "Eminent Domain". When he hears this, he doesn't modify his ignorance, he doesn't take the chance to improve his meagre store of knowledge...instead he mocks reality and laws and anyone who tried to educate him...and resolves to believe even more firmly that he is right and the world must be wrong....which is the same position he takes regarding his so-called assyrian identity and roots...all science, all history, all scholarship all academics all historians and experts are all wrong, and HE is right.

Such an attitude will make someone, well...stupid. There is no other word for it...that it is willful stupidity, meaning at the person's insistence, and that he could cure his stupidity, makes it all the more sad....it shows a PREFERENCE for being remaining stupid because in that state of mind, he can continue believing in what pleases him, making what pleases HIM to be the mark of its truthfulness regardless of any facts which clearly show he is mistaken.

And you would expect, in fact you could predict, that someone behaving like this, and any community thinking like this, would be exactly where they are today...no surprises there.

Who is really making and "rediculing" assyrians...us, or Taco?
