...they've screwed themselves and continue to do so...and in no small part because they are Christians and believe in the Rapyure and the world as a "vale of tears" and "pie in the sky when you die"...and "all this is God's way of testing our faith"...this is the reason this religion is so valued by politicians and businesspeople...because it teaches people to deny themselves, to work against their own best interests and even pleasure in favor of some heaven-to-come someday....American workers have it in their power, power given them by the Constitution so there wouldn't be a need for violence, to change everything in their favor...they could vote in a living wage, they could tax to death anyone who takes jobs overseas, they could tax the rich at a decent rate which would ease their lives and their children's futures without putting a single dent in the lifestyles of the super-rich...they could do it all but they prefer to vote for "culture war" issues...anti-Gay...anti-Black...anti-women...anti-immigrant...anti-abortion etc.....all of them issues that have no tangible bearing on the what it actually takes to live a decent life, here on earth. So....let them eat stale cake...it's apparently all they want or think they deserve. --------------------- |
