If there was no Islam and the Kurds, Arabs, Turks, Iranians, etc were not Muslims, Fred Aprim and the rest of the heroes would not be in business. They try to make their living by portraying themselves as a small Christian minority whom are surrounded by barbarian Muslims and that they are persecuted because of religion and ethnicity. So take away Islam and these bigots are screwed.
