...it is generally accepted today that our children are spoiled and lazy brats....that parents cater way too much...that schools and others have created fake prizes and awards for almost every kid in class or the team so no one will feel "left out" or suffer low self-esteem....like if you really love your child you won't hurt his self-esteem by pointing out that 2+2 is not really 16...careful don't bruise the ego.

All of us have suffered the effects of this kind of parenting and values...we cringe when parents enter a space shared by others. We sweat because we know all of us in the room are held hostage to the child's mood and that the parents can do nothing and will do nothing to control the little fucker...and that's how we appear to the rest of the world...a bunch of spoiled rich kids way over-indulged who think we're the best, we're exceptional.

These days, especially in public, parents can't afford to haul off and smack an obnoxious child...I certainly am not advocating that and that only makes matters worse...there are all sorts of ways to raise decent, respectful kids who have self-respect and exercise self-discipline and are comfortable with REASON...it's just that American parents know none of this...they only know, or knew, spankings and worse, or ice-cream bribes...you know, like heaven and hell....that's all they resorted to and saw as "teaching".....and now they can't smack...so its ice-cream all day and every day....and we have more lard-asses as a result too....
