...what an incredible crock of shit. This guy brags about being a slave from Iraq. Since when do slaves have the leisure to learn painting? The ungrateful son of a bitch rails against the country that gave him birth, taught his ignorant ass, allowed him to study art and let him emigrate...to the country that's murdering his homeland...evenb though it has the "wrong name". As if the United States got its name without murdering countless innocent people.

...what makes a person so low that he class himself a slave...weeps and pisses for the world to see...attempts to earn pity and all in the name of ART!

...I have the misfortune of being on the same program with this reptile....the AID society of Modesto is have a function and auction to raise money for Iraq...they're using another sculpture of mine...sadly this crybaby is also on the bill.

The following words belong to this pathetic human bean....

There are words ready to burst from my chest. I am ready to speak to the world, to tell them that my homeland was not Iraq.

They call me Iraqi, but according to Ishtar, Gilgamesh, Anu, Shamash, and Enlil, that is not the name of my country.

Iraq was coined by Arabs, and it was recognized by Moguls, Safavids, Ottomans, British, Americans, and the United
Nations.

But I am in Iraq deaf and blind, sad, broken and hungry. I am not free, but a captive. My body was sold like a slave in auction on the streets of Baghdad. The name of my country is not Iraq; its true name is written on the walls of Babylon, in
Ashurbanipal’s library, and within Nimrud’s palace.
My homeland is Mesopotamia. The land of legends and beauty where we climbed to the stars every morning. Along the
Nineveh Valley the sunflowers dance with Tammuz, while Ishtar colors her hair with Jasmine. The name of my country is
not Iraq. Please call me Mesopotamian, not Iraqi. Biba, are you there to sing for me saperjwen so I can dance and swing?
Where are the colors of my costume so I can fly like a bird? My country is not Iraq, it is Bet-Nahrin.
Paul Batou's Statement
I am one artist among many. I am Sumerian when I read the Epic of Gilgamesh, I am Chaldean and Babylonian when I look
at the Gate of Ishtar, I am Assyrian when I think of Ashur and listen to Evin Agassi, I am Syriac when remembering the
stories of genocide, and I am a Catholic or Orthodox when I read Jesus’ teachings of love.
My colors are united in one art piece reflecting the tone of the Earth, the language of the universe, the cry and pain of the
oppressed people. On my canvas, the black, red and white are in harmony just like my soul. I would love my people to
achieve that kind of unity. Celebrate the art.

...I'll call you what you are...a loathsome Christian fanatic and a shitty painter as well....who thinks such purple prose, like Rosie's, makes up for an awful lack of talent. You can dance and swing too...by the neck for all I care.
