...this time the Turkish flag was spray-painted on the hand part and "Fuck Assyrians" painted on the base, plus some ofther "Fuck" or other, and the plaque was stolen.

Police say that they have no leads or information but that could just be their way of investigating this...they say whoever did it will be charged with mallicious destruction of a monument...no doubt our boys would prefer to see this charged as a hate crime, sounds better.

Iīm more convinced than ever that the vandals are other assyrians who hate the AUA and whatever Christian sect they are made up of. And, why not score two birds with one stone...why not leave signs that the Turks did it? I mean these guys are stupid but not so stupid that they would sign their own names, or the name of their sect or church...why not pin it on the Turks and make it a complete eveningīs fun? I would.

This issue has to be decided ultimately by historians, not taxi drivers and engineers and other gossip mongers. I can understand the Turks in Australia being really pissed that the government allowed any mention at all of a genocide committed by them when there is no historical data to support such a claim...but Australia is a Christian country which also attacks Islam, so itīs no surprise that a few politicians went along...the fact that they did not allow the accusation against the Turks to be a part of memorial speaks volumes: they caved in only to allowing a one-day mention of the Turks but only for one day. But it was one day too much...an offensive accusation hurts just as much if it is uttered once or twenty times....the government was unduly hurting its Turkish citizens to satisfy a fleeting sense of "justice" for the assyrian rabble who peddle this crap.

Some commission should be formed by a university, maybe in Australia, to take a look at all documents and whatever exists, as well as interviews, to finally settle this issue...but I have a sneaking suspicion that the issue has already been decided, and not in favor of the assyrian claims, else those findings would have been blasted and blared all over the news, by the assyrians themselves if nothing else....but this is part of the same condescension and patronizing everyone shows to these assyrian cry babies...no one has the guts to say to them, "you are NOT Assyrians...any more than anyone else living in that region is, but certainly not because you are Christians...and no genocide EVER happened to you...so cut it out"!
