...any assyrian who has seriously invested him or herself somewhere else in the world has no intention of going "back to Nineveh". It's only those who think they can finally get what they always thought they deserved and what was "stolen by the Arabs" harbor these ditzy dreams and hopes.

...very much like the Hebrews who chose to stay in Babylon when Cyrus conquered it and said that all Hebrews were free to return to their sheepshit haven on a rock, only those who never amounted to anyhthing or learned anything or benefitted from the advanced culture of the Baylonians went back...and in the same way only our beggars and taxi drivers will go back to Nineveh....the only ones who left Babylon were those who'd never established anything, never learned anything...beggars and porters and peasants....the majority of the Jews had prospered or at least found a place for themselves....and refused to leave...are you kidding me? Leave Paris to go back to Walla Walla, Washington???

And for all that we hate Muslims and Islam, you mean to tell me we're going to feel comfortable and secure surrounded on all sides and land-locked by Muslims....Arabs, Qurds, Turks...? really? We're going to see all those who surround us and outnumber as enemies and treat them accordingly...and that will bring us peace and prosperity? They can strangle us at any time...they can cut off the rivers...they can refuse passage to trucks and cars and taxis...in other words we will have traded the world for a ghetto called Assyria...and Jews found out the hard way how much security there was living in ghettos, "safe" but surrounded and hated, in Christian lands, of course, there were no ghettos in Muslim lands.

It's a fool's paradise....or dream of one. Is it really any wonder?
