the one who makes a fantastic claim...

...is the one who has to prove it. The one who rejects the fantastic claim is not the one who has to prove it is FALSE. The burden of proof, just as in a court of law, is on the one making the charge or claim....this is the difference between our legal system and the Napoleonic Code, which still operates in Mexico...if you are accused of a crime in Mexico YOU have to prove you DIDN'T do it...in American the one accusing you of a crime has to prove it...you don't have to say a word, you don;t have to prove you DIDN'T murder someone, the State, which brought the charge, has to prove you DID.

Arrow says there is a god...in his case the god isn't Thor or Isis or Isthar or Odin, it's Jesus and/or yahwe. I say there is no such thing...there is no Thor, Odin, Ishtar OR Jesus-and-his-dad. I ask him to prove it, to back up his claim....he says he doesn't have to, and since I can't prove his god doesn't exist, I have to conclude that he MIGHT.

This is so fallacious and absurd that only a god-infested mind could find any merit or take any satisfaction that he had "made his case".

When you can't provide evidence for your claim, especially a fantastic one, you haven't proven your case...and you can hardly then ask those whom you were not able to convince to prove your case for you....I don;t have to prove god doesn't exist...I never bothered about god, never gave him a thought, any more than I did pigs on Mars. Why do I have to trouble myself proving a person WRONG? Let him prove he is RIGHT...and if he can't, he can't...and his claim is just that, a CLAIM. And he's welcome to it.
