...if we're going to pretend to be improving our humanity...let's start by looking up words we don't know how to use....such as "scholar".

Here's Merriam Webster:

Main Entry: schol·ar
Pronunciation: 'skä-l&r
Function: noun

Etymology: Middle English scoler, from Old English scolere & Anglo-French escoler, from Medieval Latin scholaris, from Late Latin, of a school, from Latin schola school

1 : a person who attends a school or studies under a teacher : PUPIL

2 a : a person who has done advanced study in a special field b : a learned person

3 : a holder of a scholarship.

Under this definition Dr Odishoo is not a scholar. He may well be a scholar where medicine is concerned, because he studied under teachers...as a PUPIL...he also hasn't done advanced study in THIS special field but in medicine.

Oddly enough, though not rerally, the only person we have who IS a scholar...in THIS field...is Dr Joseph. And you know what we've tried to do to him.

Dr Odishoo is an amateur...that's not an insult...it's just accurate.
