I'm struck by the inept, weak, impotent and just plain silly ranting and raving demands of Maggie and our nationalists that they MUST have this and they MUST have that and also they want that OTHER thing too!!! And by golly they better get it too...or ELSE!!!

Or else what? That's the part they never talk about...what are they going to DO about it...or anything?

I'm reminded of our position when we thought it was time for us to have a public monument refelcting our own heritage..as did every other ethnic minority in the United States. It wasn't an easy thing to do...not by a long shot. First there was the problem of having an Assyrian sculptor who COULD do the sculpture..and not to the specifications of Turlock or Aprim either but to the international standard that would be acceptable to American cities and art experts...the next problem was to pay for the damn thing...to rally support among our community, which hasn't funded anything near to the cost for a public monument...AND get over their doubt and fear that this was just a scam...since no one had managed to build an Assyrian school or make much of anything Assyrian of any quality...in other words wanting to do it...even DEMANDING that it be done, wasn't enough...was less than nothing, actually.

I mean these things CAN be done..just as the Kurds have shown that it's possible to get a new country...but you have to know HOW to do it...and one way that it NEVER happens is by acting the way Maggie does...and all the rest of them. You have to WORK at it...long and hard. Make sacrifices, take risks and always be willing to try new ways and keep your eyes on the prize no matter what.

The Ashurbanipal Monument, much simpler than making a country, nonetheless had its challenges...but they were overcome by WORKING..and knowing how and when and where to work...not just flail around in a parking lot, or on the internet.

People who "demand" and rant and yell about what is OWED to them and what they MUST be given, are people who will never DO anything...which should be clear by their record.

What has Maggie done besides TELL us what she DEMANDS? To cap the absurdity of it all she actually feels she's accomplished something...why? Because at the end of the day, she's "exhausted"...so she must have been "working"...right?
