...between a person who believes in alchemy and a chemist? What sort of conversation can you have with one who believes the earth is flat? There is no basis, no common ground. One is a raving lunatic the other rational...you can discuss with a rational person, but if a person tells you he BELIEVES he is Napoleon, come back to life, what are you going to talk about besides maybe his delusion?

...what can you say to a person who believes the bible? Where is there a basis for discussion? What? How dark it actually was for Jonah in the belly of that whale? What kind of bread Jesus made from fishes? What?

...what do you say to someone who believes pigs fly on Mars and then tells you that since YOU can't prove they do...he MIGHT be right? Although is isn't "maybe" with him...it's CERTAIN...because one of the pigs told him so....in a vision?

...what do you say to someone who is convinced an old man made the universe? What do you do, argue about celestial time vs Bulova? When he points to an old book as his evidence...what do you say...what further conversation can there be?

There is nothing to talk about between one who believes in gods and one who does not believe in the one who believes in gods. I don't bother myself with the existence or non-existence of gods...what is of passing interest is what convinces others to believe....how they do so on no evidence whatsoever...or, examining what they claim is evidence...that's mildly interesting...but to talk ABOUT gods? Please.

People used to believe in Thor...now they believe in Jesus. End of story.
