I know I personally don't like the fellow at all...but then people don't like me either so what's the significance of that...as a National Question I mean. Being "liked" hardly matters in the real world. You don't have to like your brain surgeon, he just has to be good.
Dadeshoo isn't a Doctor of anything. I think his Master's Degree is in Education, which is just below Phys Ed as a discipline. The Modesto Bee once did an article on Assyrians in the area and they found out that he had no doctorate...he threatened to sue them...they'd made their point and had other things to do.
I keep hoping he'll sue me but haven't had any luck yet. I'll keep working on it.
You have to hand it to him though...if there was anything worthwhile he wanted to do, he cretainly has created the mechanism to get that message out there. He has 24 hour broadcasting on his TV chanel, and I hear he's now going to satellite round the world.
Whatever his motivation, the guy gets things done. He provides a lot of homebound, hidebound, Assyrians with constant chatter in Assyrian...that's a good thing. The type of Assyrians he appeals to are in no danger of leading a reolution anywhere, so where's the harm...or good.
Just enjoy his success...be happy for him and his audience, and thank God he's enough of a fool to be dimissed by any sane and serious person anywhere he goes. His damage is confined within our community...Let's just say he's created his own Mental Ward and is safely locked within it.
Like all the rest of us he believes that HE is Assyria. We're delusional that way.
