..of course I do...it's been all around me all my life...I even had Jesuits from Baghdad College trucked over to save my soul, one was a Monsignoir...they got desperate towards the end...I asked them one too many questions too and they had to leave..like you do every time..you can only talk to each other..to the rest of us you are babbling nonsense...and what scares us is that you LIKE it so.

...now how's that for bright? I can imagine me saying to a student ignorant of Algebra..."if you knew what algebra was, what it is used for and how to apply it and knew its rules...you would know why Algebra was required". Come on Paul...at some point in your life you may have to expain yourself to someone who doesn't already think the same way you do...oh give it a shot.

>If you'd really like to have it explained, without ridicule on your end which would make my effort in vain,

...this is following in the footsteps of Jesus? This is emulating the behavior of a man who took on the Roman AND Jewish heirarchy...who were prepared to do more than "ridicule" him? THIS is the courage you talk about all day that Christians show in the face of persecution..you don't want to be RIDICULED?

...then how come it doesn't bother me..your ridicule I mean? What's the difference between us that you're so insecure in your beliefs...while half the world shares your idiocy...yet I stand out here practically alone and take anything any ten of you can dish out..so much so that you all run and hide? Are you SURE your religion makes you strong? Seems to me it's made all you boys as touchy and tetchy as can be...like you are all still teething...or still soiling your pants and are sensitive to being fun of for it...really...have you people no backbone at all?

then I will explain it to you. Otherwise this is yet another ploy of yours to draw me into a useless session of rant,

...the questions I posed were serious ones..the challenges to your sillies were real...look at the way you respond. What makes you so shy and sensitive about beliefs that drove Jesus up a tree...literally? Did we place any restrictions on you not to make fun of us? I would never dream of such a thing for it shows I have very poor convictions to begin with...mock me all you want...what shows clearly is that you can't risk the same. I said many times I honor Jesus as a man...an exemplary one...I simply don't buy the Jewcrap and the Romancrap and I sure as hell won't buy any Christian crap posing as "Assyrian"...but so what? I put my neck out there all the time...I go crashing into those other message boards...I drag the chickenshits for Jesus over HERE...I set no conditions ahead of time for what is supposed to be the exercise of my god-given mind...Jesus would certainly talk to me...what's your problem?

and you only ask the question in jest - already having convinced yourself that you know the answer.

...I think I know the range of answers..and I think they are foolish in the extreme..I think the only way you can get an adult to think like this is to assault him or her early..in fact this may be the reason you are so tetchy...your religious "beliefs" came to you along with a child's ability and desire to be pleasing...at about the same time children are notoriously prone to feeling foolish easily because they can't handle words or ideas very well...I think this is your fear...your points of faith are all childish...related to being afraid of the dark, afraid of death, afraid of losing the love of parents who expect you to believe as they do. The most striking thing about people like you is that you could have been raisded in ANY Faith at ANY time in history and you would feel just as fiercely loyal to that set of idiocies as any other...what you lack is the willingness to think a little...just that. Your "Faith; was implanted where your higher mental functions should have been..where they should have developed..instead a Voodoo priest was ready with rockets and bells and shiney objects...you are AFRAID of where your own mind might lead you...that's what your religion did for you...else you could brave ANYTHING confident, as I am, that it isn't POSSIBLE to ridicule your beliefs...as I know you can't ridicule mine..that you only make fun of yourself when you try....

well...you know your limitations better than I do I guess...though I see some you may not. The whole point is that risk is a part of life..it's a part of discourse, it's a part of belief...ask Jesus. he would NEVER have set this kind of requirement ahead of time..on the contrary, he made a point of going where people stood the greatest chance of ridiculing him...and killing him.

What's your excuse?
